Mobile Klimageräte - Tipps und Tricks (de)

In userem Fall war das mobile Klimagerät nur eine temporäre Lösung und wir sind mittlerweile mit einem Splitklimaanlage der Marke LG glücklich aber manchmal kommt man aufgrund von Bauvorschriften, Kosten und dergleichen nicht um ein mobiles Klimagerät herum. Hier sind vier Tipps und Tricks um ein mobiles Klimagerät etwas effizienter zu betreiben.

#1 Fensterauslass abdichten

Die warme Abluft muss mit Hilfe eines Schlauches meistens durch ein Fenster nach draußen abgeführt werden. Um zu verhindern, dass durch das geöffnete Fenster warme Luft in den Raum nachströmt, sollte die Öffnung abgedichtet werden. Dazu gibt es fertige Lösungen im Baumarkt (wasserabweisender Stoff mit Reiß- und Klettverschluss) oder man baut sich eine entsprechende Platte aus Styropor oder Holz.

Achtung Lebensgefahr:

Bei gleichzeitigen Betrieb einer Gas-Therme (z.B. für Warmwasser) kann es bei einem Defekt der Therme oder des dazugehörigen Rauchfangs zu lebensbedrohlichen Situationen kommen, wenn durch den Unterdruck des Klimageräts Kohlenmonoxid (CO) der Gas-Therme wieder in den Raum zurück gedrückt wird. Daher ist hier unbedingt auf eine geeignete Frischluftzufuhr zu achten. Für diesen Fall eigenen sich vor allem auch Zweischlauch-Systeme mit seperaten Zu- und Abluftschläuchen:

#2 Zweischlauch-Systeme

Zweischlauch-Geräte besitzen seperate Zu- und Abluftschläuche und sind daher effizienter als Einschlauch-Geräte.
Man kann mit Hilfe einer Kartonbox aus einem vorhandenen Einschlauch-Gerät ein Zweischlauch-Gerät bauen, indem man die Zuluftöffnung mit Hilfe der Box vom Raum trennt und einen zweiten Schlauch montiert und nach außen führt. Auf diese Modifikation habe ich derzeit noch verzichtet.

#3 Schlauchlänge kurz halten

Da der Abluftschlauch sehr warm wird, sollte seine Länge kurz gehalten werden. Dazu kann das Klimagerät beispielsweise auf einer Kommode plaziert werden, sodass die Abluftöffnung auf Fensterhöhe plaziert ist.

#4 Isolieren des Abluftschlauchs

Die nun optimierte Führung des warmen Abluftschlauchs sollte jetzt noch isoliert werden. Gute Ergebnisse erzielt man hier schon mit einem Handtuch (fixiert mit einer Schnur oder einem Draht) das zwei oder drei-lagig um den Schlauch gewickelt wird.

But sometimes you do not come around a mobile air conditioner due to building codes, costs and so on. Here are four tips and tricks to operate a mobile air conditioner a little more efficient.

#1 Seal Window Outlet

The warm exhaust air usually has to be blown off through a window with the help of a hose. In order to prevent warm air from flowing into the room through the open window, the opening should be sealed. There are ready-made solutions in the hardware store (water-repellent fabric with zip and Velcro) or you build a corresponding window panel made of styrofoam or wood.

Attention danger to life:

Life-threatening situations can happen if a gas spa is in simultaneous operation. If a defect of the spa or the associated chimney is present, carbon monoxide (CO) of the gas spa can be pushed back into the room because of the negative pressure caused by the air conditioner. Therefore, it is important to pay attention to a suitable supply of fresh air. Two-hose systems with separate supply and exhaust hoses are particularly suitable for this case:

#2 Two-hose Systems

Dual-hose units have separate supply and exhaust hoses and are therefore more efficient than single-hose units. Using a cardboard box, an existing one-hose device can be modified to a two-hose device by separating the supply air opening from the room with the box and a second hose leading from the box to the outside. At the moment I do not use this modification by myself.

#3 Keep hose length short

Since the exhaust hose is very warm, its length should be kept short. For this purpose, the air conditioner can be placed on a little dresser or similar, to place the exhaust near to the window.

#4 Insulating the exhaust hose

The optimized guidance of the warm exhaust hose should now be isolated. Good results are already achieved with a towel (fixed with cord or wire) that is wrapped around the hose in two or three layers.
